There are 30 pitches for static holiday accommodation at our peaceful caravan site, set in 3 acres of open countryside.
With Sunnygill beck running along its western boundary, the site is bordered by wooded areas which are home to some wonderful and varied wildlife and birds. There is a good network of Public Footpaths in the area with views to the majestic Pennines and across open countryside to the Lakeland Fells.
The site was opened in 2010 and extended in 2017 to its current 30 pitches. The caravan site runs alongside our farm at Melmerby Mill which has been in the family for five generations.
The farm gets its name from the waterwheel located on the farm. This powered milling stones and the sawmill situated at the farm which provided milled grain products and cut wood to the local area. The waterwheel was in use until the mid 20th Century but is now no longer in used. You will see some of the original millstones around the farm.
Individually metered gas and electricity so no need for gas bottles.
For a small additional cost, we have an optional internet connection available.
Our season runs from the beginning of March until the second week in January.
No individual aerials required, each pitch has its own freeview TV connection.
Well behaved four-legged friends are welcome on our site.
